Supplier Quality Engineer – New Model Development (Electronics) (2011)

Direct activities for all support staff assigned to New Model quality operations. Interface with ISO/TS 16949 customer audits and certification quality auditors. Responsible for all quality activities that support manufacturing operations for the production of finished product - including: in-coming raw materials, production process and part inspection, packaging, and shipping. Direct and manage over 50 diverse suppliers for the new model program. Responsible for Supplier Quality Management System elements that are applicable to product quality. Maintain global corrective action system (GQMS) to correct and analyze non conforming product. Ensure all areas of operations are in compliance with applicable procedures and training. Formulate and manage the development and implementation of supplier goals, objectives, policies, project schedules, procedures, records and systems pertaining to the quality assurance and regulatory functions (ex. FMVSS). Supplier Quality Engineer – Mass Production (2008 – 2010)

Developed wiring harnesses for two new models during launch of new Kia plant; reducing internal and external daily rejects 75% within 8 months of start of production, maintained quality through mass production. Managed and developed department quality systems and plant wide corrective action procedure. Managed 20 electrical suppliers, negotiated countermeasures and effectively increased overall part quality utilizing APQP and Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) approval paths. Lead supplier process audits at respective manufacturing facility to proactively identify critical process control points and overall production readiness. Lead root cause analysis investigation on department quality issues and assure part conformity to specification, by reviewing ISIR (PPAP), PFMEA's, and Standard Work Instructions.
