PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer 2006 – 2010
Functioned as the sole QAE on 2nd shift for both Integration Assembly and Test. Verified hardware met planning and engineering requirements (and engineering to planning to hardware). Ensured safety of hardware handling from Electrostatic Sensitive Devices damage (ESD) and Foreign Object Debris (FOD). Initiated internal discrepancy reports as well as responded to incoming / external discrepancy reports from customers. Interfaced with customers during hardware sell off or assisted them during audits.
• Designed 2 tools to be used in the assembling of hardware in cramped locations minimizing harness damage. A cost savings to the program of over $650K per payload. These tools are referred to as "Jo Anne's tools" when harnesses are being assembled into higher assemblies. Received a monetary award.
• Performed engineering and planning review to ensure rework or repair planning initiated, met MRB or preliminary review decisions.
• Reviewed all history records prior to sell off, to ensure they met the actual contractual requirements.
• Ensured contractual requirements were flowed down to planning and test thru paperwork and hands on audits.
• Mentored, supervised and provided assistance to inspectors to maintain consistency when conflicting opinions occurred regarding hardware or planning decisions / interpretations.
• Acknowledged for successfully completing all assigned audits through hands-on inspections and prove-ins which resulted in findings at least 95% of the time.
• Found discrepancy during a required prove-in of drawing to planning, a procedural step was being omitted resulting in potential hardware compromise. Results of findings required training of manufacturing engineers, assembly personnel and planning clarification and another prove-in.
• Discovered after a previous prove-in that a supplier did not mark / identify hardware properly causing an improper connection. This finding resulted in a vendor corrective action.
Senior Quality Assurance Engineer 2004 – 2005
Performed as the sole QAE on the Paveway RTS and DTS (Readiness and Digital Test Sets). Created Program Quality Requirements (PQRs) from contracts (extracting quality requirements, delivery, manufacturing, engineering, processes).

• Represented the Material Review Board (MRB) on hardware issues / engineering changes to ensure cause and corrective action would be addressed for compliance.
• Made decisions regarding supplier quality issues for incoming hardware, nonconforming hardware.
• Initiated error free DD250s (final sell off documents) and presented to customers. Acknowledged for submittal of error free DD250s.
