Hold a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri and trained in Lean Business Principles, Non Destructive Testing Methods, MS Access, SAP, E-Rail Safe, CAD, OSHA 10, HAZMAT, and as an OSHA Supervisor. Personable and tenacious, unafraid to tackle high pressure situations.

Redesigned unsafe bridge approach, avoiding costly expenditures. KC Southern was losing money due to unsafe poorly designed utility in embankment by separate contractor. Investigated and identified unsafe flaws. Led design team in managing repairs and developed strategy to have original contractor pay. Avoided $150K in repairs and $40M losses from potential unsafe derailment.
Improved safety record, saving millions. Created accurate data for KC Southern on uncontrolled vegetation growth which caused accidents. Designed database to track problem, including dates, contractors, location, and photos. Developed control policies that reduced accidents 30% per year, saving from $4M to $40M per incident.
Expanded engineering market presence. GBA needed to diversify product offering into railroad industry. Stepped in as subject matter expert, providing railroad engineering and safety intelligence to help GBA assert presence. Proved GBA as contenders in market, leading to more RFPs and ultimately winning more projects.
Corrected design flaws, averting accidents. High maintenance costs on KC Southern railroad crossing diamond were resulting in dangerous unsafe operations and possible derailments. Investigated, identified, and resolved design flaws correcting alignment and drainage. Saved up to $40M per potential accident.
Created Safety Matrix. Nordco Rail Services needed a safety program for their employee. Created all general Safety Matrix including: Fire Protection, PPE, General Housekeeping, Safe Lifting, Heat Stress, Vehicular Safety Machine And Tool Safety, Hazard Communication, Material Safety Data Sheets, Lockout/Tagout, Electrical Safety and Ergonomics.
