OBJECTIVE
I am an extremely driven and well-rounded engineer looking to obtain a mid-level Structural Engineer position at a reputable engineering firm. I hope to continue my growth as an engineer under experienced and knowledgeable engineers while also expanding on my already strong coordination and social skills required to become an excellent project manager in the future.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Structural Engineer I, Bridge Department, AECOM NY March 2012 – Present
Cross Bronx Expressway, NYSDOT: (6/2015-Present)
Lead structural engineer on the conceptual rehabilitation of the Sheridan Viaduct on the Cross Bronx Expressway. Concepts being investigated span from modifications to complete replacement.
George Washington Bridge Priority Repairs, PANYNJ: (2/2015-Present)
Responsibility includes evaluating all concrete related priority repairs highlighted in the annual QAD reports and developing repair details from conceptual to final design.
Hicksville & Wantagh Station Improvements, MTA Long Island Rail Road: (07/2013-Present)
Handled a majority of the structural design of various station improvements including platform replacement, canopy replacement and substructure replacement and repair. Duties include conceptual and technical structural design, interacting with the client at all progress meetings, inspection, presentation and meeting preparation. Through frequent communication, often as AECOM’s structural representative, I have developed a valuable relationship with the LIRR.
Miller Bridge, New York State DOT: (11/2014-2/2015)
Was heavily involved in the design-build proposal of a three span, 650’ steel bridge with arch elements. The design considered stresses due to LRFD load combinations, deflection and slenderness criteria, etc.
The Port Authority of NY & NJ, LaGuardia Airport Modernization, Queens, NY: (01/2013-03/2013)
Worked on the conceptual design of landside roadway structures for LaGuardia Airport Modernization project. Responsibly included creating proposed foundation layouts, construction phasing, and drafting.
NYS Department of Transportation, Major Deegan Expressway, Bronx, NY: (01/2013-02/2014)
Involved in the rehabilitation, widening and realignment of the Major Deegan Expressway between E138th St and the Macombs Dam Bridge. Was mostly responsible for analyzing bridge floorbeams for past and future fatigue.
