Professional Experience
My Nursing experience was obtained through my LVN education which includes med pass under direct supervision of my Nursing instructors, insulin draw and administration, documentation, palliative care, preparation of deceased for viewing and transport, and detailed communication with medical staff.
I obtained Nursing Assistant experience caring for the elderly in a 141-bed facility with a locked Alzheimer’s unit where I assisted with mobility therapy and retraining, physical therapy and occupational therapy, basic housekeeping, pain management, infection control, elimination needs, and detailed communication with nursing staff.
I continued my experience as a Caregiver in a 6-bed facility where I cared for the developmentally disabled, ages 14-45, where I added to my nursing assistant experience by preparing meals, working laundry, and performing janitorial duties during graveyard shifts.
