Assist in the development of all project related Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, system control logic philosophy, diagrams and DCS implementation. Continue to perform all project related tasks as required for project completion. Directed the WFGD system commissioning and startup activities for I&C/ E department. Mentored engineers-in-training.

Responsible for the development of all Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams using REBIS software, the system functional descriptions and operational procedure in collaboration with process engineering for the company’s WFGD (Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization) and DFGD (Dry Flue Gas Desulfurization) systems. Develop all binary and analog logic and control diagrams. Responsible for the conversion of these logic diagrams into the selected control system Witness all required FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests). Perform advanced duties such as complex studies and analysis of difficult control problems. Develop specifications for medium voltage and low voltage equipment. Develop one-line diagrams for medium and low voltage electrical distribution systems. Selects medium voltage and low voltage MCC components and designs all associated layouts. Design MCC rooms and control room layouts and develop cable and conduit schedules, wring diagrams and electrical load lists. Create all associated equipment list (I/O, power and instrumentation). Perform the specification and selection of all instrumentation and electrical equipment. Develop budgetary and final equipment pricing for use in all project proposals. Senior Process Control Engineer

Designed process control systems for thermal oxidation systems for the destruction of chemical waste liquids and gases. This included burner management, associated process control including boiler, wet and dry scrubbers and fabric filter control systems. Developed all startup, safety and operational interlocks and permissives. Configured control loops, communication links and DCS interfaces. Developed P&ID’s, logic diagrams, electrical schematics and sequence of operations. Designed, reviewed and approved all system electrical layouts and control schemes prior to customer acceptance. Responsible for the specification, selection and procurement of all instrumentation and electrical equipment. Performed system checkouts, field startups and system troubleshooting domestically and internationally. Provided electrical engineering support to Bloom Engineering, (a PCC sister company).

• Responsible for ladder logic programming, HMI design and commissioning and startup for numerous thermal oxidation systems throughout the United States.
