ECHOCARDIOGRAPHER/NON-INVASIVE CARDIOVASCULAR Tech
As the Echo Tech, I performed Echocardiograms on newborns, adolescents and adults using
standard transthoracic and transesophageal techniques. Responsible for the qualification and
quantification of these echos from performance or assisting in performance, administration and quality
assurance review. Participated extensively in EKG management, Holter monitoring and
operation of the non-invasive cardiovascular area i.e., supplies, purchasing, scheduling and overall
general line operational management.

RESPIRATORY CARE TECHNICIAN
Performed respiratory care on newborns, adolescents and adults to include assessment and respiratory
therapy. Additional responsibilities included ventilator management, blood gas collection/analysis and
system management.

Performed Echocardiograms on newborns, adolescents and adults using transthoracic standard
techniques and assisting with transesophageal echocardiograms. Performed Holter monitoring, Exercise
Treadmill and other EKG assessment techniques on patients.

DIRECTOR OF CARDIOPULMONARY SERVICES
Served as both Superintendent and Chief Technologist over Non-Invasive Cardiovascular testing ,
which included Echocardiography, Exercise Stress Testing, Holter Monitor analysis and EKG management
system extending to three medical facilities. In the respiratory care area, served as Superintendent and
Chief Therapist over the Respiratory Care Department and the Pulmonary Function Laboratory.
Additionally served as Senior Enlisted Advisor to nine different TAC hospitals in the Continental United
States and as their Coordinator for personnel, capital equipment and standardization of care in all of
their hospitals. Also served as a Medical Enlisted Advisor to a squadron of 6,000 personnel and their
families, as well as a Medical Administrative Liaison between patient complaints/care and the physician
or administrator. In this capacity, increased standards of care through the introduction of new
technology and extensive capital investment. Developed and implemented on-going and
comprehensive training plans for nursing personnel.
June 1979 to June 1982 USAF Hospital, RAF Lakenheath, England
DIRECTOR OF CARDIOPULMONARY SERVICES
As Director and Chief Technologist, set up the first Military Cardiopulmonary Laboratory to deliver non-invasive cardiovascular studies, pulmonary function studies and respiratory care in England. Served in the capacity of Manager and Developer of extensive in-service training programs for adults, including neonatal critical respiratory care. Researched and purchased cardiovascular and respiratory care equipment to initiate both in-house and outside referral capability to deliver this testing and care within the United States Military in the United Kingdom.

CARDIOPULMONARY LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Served as Section Supervisor and Chief Technologist in Respiratory Care, Pulmonary Function
Laboratory, Non-Invasive and the Cardiac Catherization Laboratory on an as-needed basis, weekly or
monthly. Served as Supervisor of the Catherization Laboratory for one and one-half years and as the
