10/10- 7/11 Marshall Wickens DO- Private Medical Office. Clinical Supervisor. Opened and established brand new medical practice. Responsible for establishing CLIA Cert, Medical Waste License, setting up entire office with all office and medical supplies to include computer/web based programs required for a Medical Office setting. Nursing duties included triage, rooming and exiting patients, prior auth for medication and tests and referrals for specialty care.
I moved back to California because of my husband’s job.
4/10- 10/10 Spectrum Health-Tustin Clinic. Office Nurse in Rural Health Clinic. This is a small One Provider office so we do everything from Triage, rooming and exiting patients, medical records, Referrals, Prior Authorizations for Medicine and Medical services, and Lab Draws.
2/08-4/10 Sutter Regional Medical Foundation-Vacaville, Ca. Started as an On-call LVN working in multiple clinics to include Same Day, Oncology, Internal Medicine and Family Practice.
Took position of Nursing Supervisor for Internal Medicine, Allergy and Neurology in Jun 09.
Provider Staff of 7 and clinical staff of 11.
Duties to include Budget review, ordering supplies, Staff evaluations, Injection Nurse, New Employee orientation, working with providers, Interview & Hiring of staff...etc.
Recently began EHR, Proficient in EHR (EPIC), Direct Sig and Electronic Dictation review.
12/03-1/08 Spectrum Health-Evart Clinic-Evart, MI. Supervisor, Rural Health Clinic. Provider staff of 4 and clinic staff of 14, in office Lab and X-ray. Interviewing, hiring, discipline and maintained Budget. Taught new employee orientation to nurses and MA’s for multiple medical procedures and tests. Maintain Allergy Injection Program, Implement tracking program for test results.
Taught and assisted in numerous clinic medical procedures to include, Minor Surgery, Cast removal, and device placement. Triage of Emergencies, handling of any other issues with both staff and patients. Our nearest Emergency Room is 13 miles away so we have numerous emergencies walk into our office. In 2004 Implemented Childhood Immunization Program that increased our percent of fully immunized children from 46% to 99%, in one year and we have maintained that percentage to date.
11/02-09/03 Solano Regional Medical Group-Vacaville, Ca. Allergy/Asthma Nurse: Teach Asthma classes to all new Nurses and MA's to include proper use of Nebulizers and Peak Flow meters. Perform Spirometry’s, allergy skin testing and allergy injections. Teach New Employee orientation to Nurses and MA’s to include EKG's, Vital Signs, Glucometer use, urine dip stick use, pregnancy testing, rapid strep testing, telephone etiquette, and customer service.
05/02-11/02 Spectrum Health- Reed City, MI. Nurse Scheduler 15 Physician Multi-Specialty Clinic. Urology, Pediatric and Adult GI, Oncology, ENT, Audiology, and Cardiology. Assisted Physicians in procedures. Prepared and scheduled patients for Cardiac Cath, Cystoscopy, Colonoscopy, and monitored labs on patients receiving chemotherapy.
12/01-4/02 We moved to Michigan from California and I didn’t work at this time as we were remodeling our home.
