Over 20 years of industry and consulting experience involving many aspects of environmental, process, and instrument engineering and management. Responsibilities included hands-on experience in the operation of hazardous waste management, groundwater and wastewater treatment faculties as well as system development, design, and startup of environmental, chemical, and pharmaceutical processes.
ACCOMPLISMENTS
•Provided process and instrument engineering inputs and design reviews for a next generation drug manufacturing development lab. Duties included supporting all instrument validation, and qualification efforts.
•Provided process and instrument engineering inputs to a major drug manufacturing rejuvenation project. Duties included supporting all instrument installation, commissioning, validation, and qualification efforts.
•Process and instrument diagram review and update project for a major US refinery near Houston, Texas. The Information was used as part of a larger project to upgrade the refineries automation and instrumentation systems.
•Provided commissioning and start-up supervision and support of a large industrial sequencing batch reactor.
•Provided support and supervision of the day-to-day activities associated with
equipment and system commissioning and process start-up of a large (40 M Fixed Capital) multi-stage biological and physical/chemical treatment plant located on an outer island of Singapore
•Developed a biological nitrification/denitirifcation treatment system to treat
nylon intermediate wastewater from initial conceptualization through process
development, design, commissioning, and start-up.
•Commissioned and Started-up Two Superfund Groundwater Treatment Plants
Both superfund facilities were located within 20 miles of each other and the
commissioning and start-up activities were conducted sequentially from one
facility to the other.

On a contract basis, at Burns and McDonnell, responsibilities have included process and instrument diagram review and assistance, development of instrumentation packages including the design and specification of instruments and automated valves, as well as coordination with other disciplines to provide 3D modeling and construction packages for process and utility instrumentation.

As an employee of CRB Engineering I’ve provided instrument engineering support including process and instrument diagram review, instrument specification development, instrument layout drawing development, instrument bid package and vendor drawing review and approval, control panel design, as well as providing, commissioning and startup assistance for several projects.
