• LSU Community Playground Project (LSUCPP): Consult with community partners (principals, teachers, parents, and students), create playground designs adhering to ASTM/ADA/CPSC Public Playground Safety standards, develop presentations to illustrate designs to community partners, develop bid specifications, and volunteer in the playground installations. Acknowledged several times in the LSU Engineering News and LSU’s newspaper, The Daily Reveille, for LSUCPP work. Painted the mural in the LSUCPP office space.
• Teaching Assistant for “Biology in Engineering” course/lab: Assist professor during course/lab and grade examinations/reports, giving feedback and aiding students with technical report revisions. Credited with photos (including cover) and acted as fact checker for professor’s book entitled “Building Playgrounds, Engaging Communities: Creating Safe and Happy Places for Children”.

• Negotiated costs and sold capital medical equipment (microscope systems, objectives, and related components) up to $150,000 as a business to business (B2B), outside sales representative.
• Traveled throughout my territory (sometimes at a moment’s notice and at odd hours) to meet with existing clients and expanded my territory by prospecting new clients/cold calling.
• Installed microscope systems and conducted demonstrations (both on an individual basis and in groups) for PhDs, MDs, hospital department heads, laboratory managers, and other research/hospital users.
