In charge of a twin Voith-Schneider propulsion (VSP) plant powered by two Cat 3512C tier II engines with CAT 4.4 auxiliary engines.
Maintain maintenance, fuel, water, waste oil, oil and dirty oil logs; produce work orders for ongoing jobs and end of month reports
Changed oil in Tacke couplings to approved Mobil grease.
Conducted main and auxiliary engine servicing: change oil, oil filters, fuel filters and air filters, replacing after cooler.
Conducted transfers of oil slops, dirty oil, fuel and lube oil.
Troubleshot 24vdc control system for the kolbert speed control system.
Assist with the replacement of generator excites and voltage regulators

Assisted in the daily operation, repairs and maintenance of the 6140 BHP, 298-ton, twin screw, EMD diesel-powered ship.
Replaced reduction gear on main engine, numerous eroded motors and pumps.
Fabricated brackets and piped in new lines for a newly installed oily water separator.
Replaced two fuel injectors and rebuilt a service generator.
Engineer responsible for all internal fuel oil transfers
During shipyard periods, replaced pipes, pumps and pistons on the EMD engines. Rebuilt the CAT 3506 engines and installed new equipment.

Assisted in the daily operation, repairs and maintenance of a 105,000 HP, 48,000-ton (fully loaded), twin screw ship powered by four GE LM2500 gas turbines.
Helped rebuild three inline-eight Caterpillar generator sets.
Helped replace part of the reduction gear for the starboard engine.
Performed daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly preventative maintenance and reports on machinery in the engine room.
Replaced motor and solenoid valve on the oily water separator.
