Senior Security Engineer (9/2010 – Present)
Project
Deployment of Sentillion’s ExpreSSO Single Sign On (SSO) Technology to over 130 facilities nation-wide.
• Analyzed existing applications and systems to define SSO integration requirements, performed technical analysis of implementation options, and provided Level III troubleshooting for facility support.
• Managed implementation teams of 1-4, on-site, Field Engineers during the deployment time-frames established by project goals and plans. Provided detailed planning briefings with local facility and staff to outline project directives.
• Developed application connectors for the ExpreSSO software to interact with CHS standard clinical applications including (but not limited to) EMR, PACS, McKesson Suite of medical applications, Keane iMed, and various web and client-based applications per the needs of the individual hospitals and facilities.
• Provided technical writing to both CHS facilities and departments for the ExpreSSO project. Outlined installation and troubleshooting for local staff that would support the application on-site, as well as technical, Tier II documentation for CHS Corporate Help Desk.
United States Department of Defense / AJA, Inc.
Systems Analyst / Administrator II (8/2007 – 9/2010)
Projects
Migrated the Redstone Scientific Information Center (RSIC) Library to the Directorate of Information Management's (DOIM's) network.
• Analyzed and planned the migration of the SirsiDynix library system and their users. Drove library staff as well as the local DOIM Information Assurance teams to maintain the level of security commensurate to DoD AR 25-2 standards.
• Created a solution to provide the library application with SSO access from the Army's CAC system. Also, integrated the Army’s approved ECA verification system so non-CAC holders and research scientists could access this important system.
• Connected the RSIC library to commercial and private databases (e.g. IEEE database, various research journals, security information providers) to expand the amount of information available to the users of this system.
Supported the Army’s Virtual Contract Environment (VCE) migration to Redstone Arsenal.
• Provided standards and “best practices” advice to the planning procedures of migrating information for over $61B worth of Department of Defense contracts. Aided in meetings and briefings with Government customers and DOIM officials to ensure that the data was replicated and brought on-line in Huntsville per the Government's project time-frames.
• Performed Data Center configuration of servers and systems to support the VCE. Installed and configured both Windows and UNIX platforms on hardware and virtual environments. Installed and configured both MSSQL and Oracle database back-ends for the actual applications, as well as load-balanced clusters utilizing both IIS and Apache web servers.
• Provided support to SAPs Business Objects consultant to aid in the installation of Business Objects XI, in adherence with DOD security policies. Also, provided ongoing support to the web developers responsible for the applications driven by the VCE's architecture.
Administration
• Provided Tier II/III support for the DOIM.
• Administered the SMS/SCCM environment and applications, and Active Directory Group Policies.
• Acquired and managed/maintained AKO SSL certificates for supported web applications and websites, including those of organizations maintained by the DOIM. Integrated all web sites and applications with the Army's AKO Netegrity SSO software.
• Managed multi-platform monitoring tools including MOM/SCOM, Big Brother Enterprise, and Solar Winds, as well as created a portal which integrated all of these platforms into a single user interface.
