2011: Blasting Project Manager for dynamitage TCG, Hydro-Québec project Romaine 2 (3 billions $); then with Montali (mining),1 km headrace tunnel for Axor hydropower project, Sheldrake on the Quebec North Coast
Romaine 2 project (hydropower dam) for Hydro Quebec:
• Participation at all stages for the blasting construction of dykes D2, E2 and F2, (2 million cubic meters) excavation of road, platform, quarry and base.
• Drillers and blasters team management representing between 5 to 25 employees on day and night schedule.
• Monitoring of the safety standards, breaks security with employees and Hydro Quebec reps.
• Planning and order management of explosives and equipment with the superintendent and foreman.
• Responsible for the development and monitoring of plans and notice of blasting submitted in accordance with Hydro-Québec.
• Management and monitoring of schedules, the evolution of the work, quantities and costs.
• Collaboration with consultants geologists and those of Hydro-Québec.
Sheldrake (60 million $, construction of the continuous-flow power plant) project for Axor:
• Participation in all stages of the project after contract sign.
• Planning and implementation of equipment, garages construction, generators, propane, diesel, sedimentation pond for residues of drilling, explosive shelter… contracting with various subcontractors, hiring and planning of a team of 20 employees.
• Management and planning of work and equipment with superintendents and foremen.
• Hiring and monitoring of subcontractors, suppliers and local amerindians workers.
• Development of blasting plans and choice of appropriate explosives.
• Collaboration to consolidation of land management: truss grouted bolts, roc bolts, screen, shotcrete.
• Monitoring of the progress of the work to applications for payments, work out contract negotiations.
• Proposed amendments to specifications to ensure the safety of workers, reduce costs and meet the deadline.
• Remote and on site with Geologists (Axor and internal) and other professionals needed to propose the best solutions for the customer.
