Performed advanced structural analysis and design for construction projects that included schools, industrial buildings and other public and private structures and facilities. Worked on projects that included new construction and rehabilitation of existing structures.
Adapted commercial projects in accordance with design standards and characteristics of specific sites. Reviewed plans and specifications. Performed engineering calculations and quantity take-offs. Coordinated drawings with implementation of design changes and specifications.
Provided seismic evaluations and/or retrofit design for existing buildings. Determined seismic risk factor of concrete frames and masonry bearing walls systems, utilizing CASE and CSB program and spreadsheets. Led project team to conduct field survey, technical research, and damage assessment. Engineered structural strengthening details and repairs recommended to compensate for structural seismic deficiencies while some of the buildings remained operational.
