• Thermodynamics and fluid flow: classes identical to that of the mechanical engineering degree with an emphasis however on energy production and transport as observed in nuclear power plants.
Senior Project
Project spanned two semesters and entailed the design of a shipping cask for the nuclear waste of a Generation IV Molten Salt Reactor; DOT regulations and safety considerations required the use of a breadth of knowledge in areas such as thermodynamics, mechanics, material science and radiation shielding.
