Proactive Communications, Position: VSAT Engineer/Network Engineer Sr.
Supported the Dyncorp Intl. Contract, LOGCAP IV, for IT and SATCOM at a forward deployed location, Managed IT site security through Scrutinizer and Spiceworks programs and associated maintenance. Worked on site improvement project to include design and construction of new network areas with both fiber and wireless connectivity with remote sites via wireless shots, bridges, and AP’s, VOIP engineering, (adding dial peers and router /call manager maintenance) and firmware updates. Satellite Engineer duties to include bandwidth reallocations, dish pointing, frequency changes and alterations both KU, X, C and Extended C band, peak and poll, and maintenance on all associated SATCOM systems. Maintained and configured all Modems, Riverbeds, Fortigates, Routers, Switches, AP’s and Wireless Shots on site. Also ran all help desk for DI personnel at forward deployed location.
