• Developing an Agile Surface Combatant with multi-mission capabilities and a semi-planing hull form
• This ship accomodates AAW, ASUW, ASW, CCC, and LAMP combat systems
• Water jet and conventional propeller propulsion are incorporated
• Design alternatives were chosen based on a series of optimization schemes that considered effectiveness, feasibility, cost and reliability.
Labs and Technical Projects – Va. Tech School Year 2009 - 2013
• Designed and conducted labs pertaining to hydrofoil analysis, surface/ sub-surface hull form performance, corrosion, and electrical/ circuit analysis.
• Labs and Projects were conducted on scaled models using a wind tunnel and towing tank, as well as through simulations using MatLab and Fortran.
