• Provided design assistance for the replacement of a knee wall ballistic barrier. Environmental testing for lead contamination was also performed. Responsibilities included assistance with the budget, specifications and attendance at pre-construction meetings.
Beach Access Ramp and Public Restroom, Sea Bright Borough, NJ.
• This project consisted of the design and construction of a new ADA compliant access ramp from the Anchorage Lot over the seawall to the beach and access to a public restroom. My responsibilities included assistance with bulkhead and parking lot construction quantities and specifications.
Mechanical Mezzanine Addition, Merck, Rahway, NJ.
• Provided design assistance for a project involving a raised mechanical steel platform allowing access to existing mechanical equipment at the Merck Rahway site.
Parking Garage Structural Inspection, Merck, Kenilworth, NJ.
• Assisted a PE with the inspection of a below grade parking deck at building K11 at the Merck Kenilworth site. I provided an evaluation of cracking and efflorescence on the underside of the overhead deck and I compiled a report of the findings.
Summit Utility Tunnel Inspections Buildings 1, 2, 3 and 4, Merck, Summit, NJ.
• Performed utility tunnel inspections of 5 tunnels at the Merck Summit Facility and provided a report of the findings.
ADA Ramp Compliance Review - Central Region, New Jersey Department of Transportation.
• I was a member of the engineering team to provide field investigation and report preparation associated with ADA compliance evaluations for Central Region projects for the NJDOT. Extensive use of the 2010 ADA regulations, July 2011 PROWAG, and the NJDOT Guidance for ADA Project Evaluation & Inventory were required. Project deliverables included detailed analyses of all non- compliant ADA elements, as well as a summary table for each project that identified the number of non-compliant ramps and pedestrian pushbuttons (at traffic signals).
Bridge and Culvert Inspections, Bergen County Department of Parks.
• Project involving the inspection, rating and report preparation of 62 bridges, under-crossings and culverts for the Parks Department. I assisted with final inspection reports utilizing Microstation.
Condition Survey of JFK Building 156 and Control Tower Facades, PANYNJ, Queens, NY.
• Assisted with structural inspections at the JFK International Airport. Work included visual and hands- on inspections of the Japan Air Cargo building 156 and the Control Tower. Rope climbing techniques were utilized to rappel down the control tower due to standard lift equipment and scaffolding being unsuitable; bucket trucks and binoculars were also used.
