NASA Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Initiative:
Evaluated MBSE concepts and tools for integration into NASA’s system engineering processes. Began modeling a solar electric spacecraft in Enterprise Architect using SysML as a pilot project to demonstrate MBSE to NASA.

Constellation Program:
Developed, validated and evaluated documentation of Orion Spacecraft requirements and interface requirements in support of the Orion Vehicle Integration Office. Interfaced with the prime contractor for the project in the development of their requirements for the spacecraft. Completed status reviews of subsystem requirements specification documents as part of the Orion System Definition Review (SDR). Re-wrote requirements to reflect the Zero-Based Vehicle (ZBV) configuration of the Orion Spacecraft for the Orion Vehicle Engineering Integration Working Group (OVEIWG). Gathered information to close and status open issues in the Constellation Program requirements documents. Supported the Altair Project team developing the Systems Requirement Document for the next generation lunar lander using Cradle. Developed operational space flight mission timelines for lunar sortie missions using the Operations Concept Document as reference. Involved in developing the Orion-Altair Interface Requirements Document and reporting status of requirements to project management. This also involved writing and tracking flow of requirements not only between the two vehicles but up to the program level and down to the sub-systems. Co-chaired the Orion-Altair Interface Working Group meetings responsible for the development and evaluation of interface requirements between the Orion and Altair projects. Wrote and managed Orion-Altair interface risks.
