My objective is the position of Petroleum/Production/Completion Engineer with a progressive, stimulating organization utilizing my education and know-how in petroleum engineering with extensive experience in Production Technology, Enhanced Oil Recovery technologies, Artificial Lift, Multiphase Flow, Pressure Transient Analysis, Production Optimization, Well Completion, Stimulation, Servicing and Abandonment of conventional and unconventional wells in the oil and gas industry.
Expertise in both domestic and international environments including onshore, offshore, desert and frontier applications from domestic in Alberta to international exposure in Western, Central and North Africa, the Netherlands and North Sea; over the course of which attained sensitivity and maturity while operating in a culturally diverse, remote and challenging environment. Assumes responsibility for risk assessment, including hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies. Applies technical knowledge to solve unanticipated situations; and formulates and implements long-term strategies to improve operations and reduce costs.
Besides general involvement with heavy oil and steam injection in the Netherlands, and gravel pack type of sand control in deep wells of Chad and Nigeria, I have an extensive understanding of downhole operations in oil and gas wells like stimulation procedures required in hydraulically fractured wells (both vertical and horizontal) coupled with design, implementation and follow-up of wellbore integrity and zonal isolation in particular.
Coaching, teaching, motivating and providing continuous guidance to Petroleum/Production Engineering Department were extremely important activities both in the head office and fields, during which my energy and experience were devoted to younger generations and their involvement with up-to-date technology (over 50% of my time was spent on-site supervising and executing all work in accordance with Regulatory Bodies). Possess a strong background in researching wells with incomplete data base and the ability to interpret and organize voluminous well records “Forensic Investigation/Engineering”. By the same token, possess capabilities to foresee future problems.
Willing to offer the analysis of oil and gas field performance and production facilities aimed at developing and producing oil and gas in the most economical and efficient manner utilizing anticipative, critical, analytical and creative thinking, cost consciousness and the ability to clearly and efficiently report on complex matters even when complete geological, completion, workover and well testing information is not available. Involved in the root cause analysis of deviations from actual to planned production; serves as a technical resource/expert for troubleshooting and problem solving, having keen critical thinking skills and highly analytical viewpoint.
Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel and multidisciplinary teams (Reservoir, Geologists, Drilling and Facilities) as well excellent written and verbal skills. This allows me to communicate easily with my superiors and subordinates thus making it possible to convince, guide or persuade a group of experts to my point of view and yet be flexible enough to compromise where necessary to achieve practical results. Most notably, I am capable of making critical decisions under pressure and managing emergency situations with confidence and ease.
I look forward to discussing this further with you.
