Project of “Surface Water Availability Calculation System (SWACS)”- The project is to develop “SWACS” for Ministry of Economic Affairs - Water Resource Agency. SWACS is a web software used for government to estimate available water in order to issue water right to applicants. The system has begun to be used in Taiwan since January 2015. My responsibilities:
• Communicate with different resources, companies, and departments for collecting water related data.
• Manage database, and analyze data.
• Study Hydrologiska Byråns Vattenbalansavdelning (HBV) model and other conceptual models, analyze HBV structures and climate types, and investigate differences between models.
• Regionalize Taiwan watershed to get Rational Method runoff coefficient for areas without data.
• Generate report of Developed Country Water Resource Management Policy to Taiwan Water Resource Agency.
• Design the website of SWACS by ArcGIS.
Program of “Taiwan National Water Forum” and “Staff Training” – The program is to assist Water Resource Agency’s activity including education, management training program, etiquette class, seminars and organize Taiwan National Water Forum. My responsibilities:
• Edit textbooks.
• Organize meetings.
