RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY
Pretreatment, hydrolysis and fermentation of Sorghum stock
Jan’15- Present
Dr. Praveen Vadlani Research Laboratory
Goals: Pretreatment of sorghum stock following enzymatic hydrolysis of pretreated sorghum and then fermentation for the production of ethanol and many bi-products.
Boron Aluminum Nitride Crystal growth
April’10- April’11
Dr. James Edgar Research Laboratory
Goals: Synthesize new crystals from Aluminum Nitride under inert atmosphere at 2000°C for checking their use in LED’S, Determine Electrical Properties of Bulk Aluminum Crystal Growth, Prepare Boron Arsenide Crystals.
Techniques: Synthesis of AIN Crystals, High Heat maintenance crucibles, High Temperature tungsten heating apparatus, Determination of their electrical properties by HALL EFFECT measurement, used Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction studies for their characterization. The most successful method of producing large, bulk AlN single crystals and the method employed is the sublimation, re-condensation method. The process is run in the forward (sublimation or decomposition) direction at the source, and in the reverse (re-condensation) direction in the crystal growth zone.

Graphene Research

Dr.Vikas Berry Research Laboratory
Goals: Determination of Conductivity of a Graphene sample, Hall mobility, Carrier density and Current-Voltage Curves.
Techniques: Studied Electrical, Structural and Chemical properties of Graphene using Hall Effect measurement system which will enable development of next generation development of Graphene. By interfacing with Bio components (a field now known as ‘Bio-nanotechnology’), in part by leveraging their specific biochemistries, novel bio-nano hybrid systems can be built. These hybrids can operate at high sensitivity and/or with unique functionalities originating from the multiplexed bio and Nano phenomena. Such bio-nano interfacing has the potential to advance several applications, including bimolecular mechanics, Bio sensing, and bio molecular electronics.

INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd
Project: TO GET A NARROW PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION OF May’13-Aug’13
AN API USING CONTINUES CRYSTALLIZATION PROCESS
Used Plug flow reactor for continues crystallization flow process of API
