*Lockwood Andrews & Newman Dallas, Texas, Structural Engineer, 09/2014-04/2015
- Designed a four span slab beam bridge in Kyle, Texas using AASHTO LRFD and TxDOT Standards.This included the calculation of all steel and concrete quantities for substructure and superstructure.
- Designed concrete sign structures, soil nail walls and pylons for the SH 71 Express Lanes project in Austin, Texas. Sign structures (OSB & COSS) included spread footings with drilled shafts. Soil nail walls were designed using SNAILZ
- Reviewed numerous shop drawing reviews for VTA's BART Silicon Valley Transit Extension in California. Provided calculations such as base plate and retaining wall designs to answer various RFI's.
- Made site visits and designed retrofitting of pier and beam flooring to support larger x-ray scanners at four small hub airports across the Midwest and western United States.
*Kimley-Horn Associates Raleigh, North Carolina, Structural Engineer, 01/2014-09/2014
- Performed design, analysis and drafting of steel and concrete structures for industrial clients including Baxter and Elanco. Members included beams, columns, footings, parapets, slabs and roofs. Designs were performed according to GA, NC and SC codes referencing IBC, ACI and AISC. Analysis was performed in Bentley RAM and linked with Revit for drafting.
- Performed site visits and coordinated repair plans and specifications for the renovation of parking structures in Norfolk, Atlanta, and Charlotte. Repairs included shallow, deep and overhead concrete, CMU, rotated and bowed spandrels, waterproofing with silane sealers, traffic coating and striping/signage plans.
