Design Projects
Senior Design Project
In groups of 8, teams designed and constructed a working scaled model of a mechanical crane. Aesthetics, strength capacity, cost, efficiency and accuracy were all taken into account in the performance index. CAD and Engineering software was used to model the crane, and calculate its capacity and possible locations of failure. Findings and conclusions were documented in a comprehensive written report.
