Research/Academic Experience
• Working on channels with synchronization issues in two different aspects; information theoretic study of the insertion/deletion channels (as a special model of synchronization error channels), and physical layer study of asynchronous cooperative channels.
• Developed OFDM transmission schemes for asynchronous cooperative communication systems under frequency selective channels.
• Developed spectral efficient Alamouti scheme for asynchronous cooperative communication systems.
• Obtained upper and lower bounds on the capacity of the insertion/deletion channels.
• Worked on non-coherent detection in UWB communication systems without reference transmission.
• Simulated channel codes such as Turbo and LDPC codes over AWGN channels using MATLAB (course project).
• Simulated the performance of different diversity techniques over fading channel model using MATLAB (course project).
• Implemented Viterbi approach and the linear MMSE equalizer for ISI channels using MATLAB (course project).
• Simulated CDMA and coded OFDM (C-OFDM) systems over a frequency selective channel using MATLAB (course project).
