Structural Dynamics January 2012 – May 2012
•Group analyzed a bridge previously designed, then relocated and determined its seismic adequacy according to MCEER/ATC 49 provisions. Peer reviews of other groups were also performed. (Sap 2000, TARSCTHS, NONLIN).
Structural Control January 2012 – May 2012
• Group utilized a nonlinear dynamic analysis text based computer program (RUAUMOKO) to perform a seismic/dynamic analysis on a six-story building structure. Various retrofit options using energy-dissipating devices were considered, implemented, and their results were compared and presented.
Steel Structures – Ductile Evaluation January 2012 – May 2012
• Group designed a 2D Special Moment Resisting Frame with various Beam-to-Column connections (WUF-W, RBS, BFP, etc.) according to AISC 341 and AISC 358 provisions. Peer reviews of other groups were also performed (SAP 2000, MathCAD).
Steel Structures – Static Evaluation August 2010 – December 2010
• Group designed a 3D building subject to static loading according to the AISC Steel Construction Manual, 13th ed. 2005. (SAP 2000).
