Industrial Hygiene Investigations: Use of industrial hygiene equipment in various indoor and outdoor environments. Investigations include monitoring for particulates, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, noise, EM radiation, hexavalent chromium, mold, or other agents.
Safety Audits/Investigations: Conduct audits of safety documentation. Assist in injury investigation, and development of site safety plans or codes of safe practices for hazardous work environments.
Preventative Maintenance Program: Document and formalize preventative maintenance procedures for employees in order to reduce the risk of injuries due to equipment failure.
Asbestos Surveying/Sampling: Inspect work sites and collect building material samples to determine presence of asbestos containing materials to facilitate removal or modify work practices.
Policy Development: Update/revise Safety and Health policies to reflect current regulations and practices.
Employee Training: Provide instruction on various topics such as Hazard Communication—includes development and presentation of training materials such as posters, handouts, and PowerPoints.
SDS Review/ Chemical Database Development: Review safety data sheets for chemical products proposed for airport use. Developed and continue to maintain site-wide chemical database.
Respiratory Protection: Conduct and document annually-required quantitative fit testing for employees who use respirators. Work with supervisors and crews to determine applicable engineering controls.
