Employment History:

2011 –2013 Cameco Corporation; Saskatoon, SK

Duties included: Underground Mapping: structures, alteration, Core Logging, modeling and interpretation of field data to facilitate mine design, support requirements and long-term monitoring activities, updating mine design for the Jet-Boring System mining method, sequencing production for the Life of Mine the required learning Visual Basic programming in excel. This production sequence was based on the JBS systems physical restraints and was needed to manipulate the design data for use in Vulcan 3D, Surpac, Minesched, and incorporation into the Life of Mine schedule and facilitate optimization for the annual production. Implementations of new digital logging methods in excel in anticipation of a software upgrade and Geotechnical database that incorporated field mapping and core logging measurements; this database was then used to define structure sets, stereonets and rose-diagrams utilized in the Geotechnical Assessment of planned development. As the Vulcan 3D expert I was an integral part in making sure the Engineering, Survey and Geology departments were able to produce the necessary models and plots for use in the required interpretations and designs, as well as continually updating and creating workflows and procedures for increased efficiency and accuracy. Management of technicians and less experienced professionals requiring coordinating with Underground and Surface foreman to ensure the data collection and interpretation was completed in a timely fashion in order to meet regulatory commitments, minimize radiological exposure targets, and meet schedule milestones. Identify and address safety concerns raised, organize monthly safety meetings, and participate in middle and upper management meetings as required to provide technical guidance when needed.

Provided consulting and training in Vulcan 3D modeling software for clients in North America and abroad. Duties included: providing customer support to clients throughout North America; This required demonstrating a solid base knowledge for my mining methods and processes as well as providing clear and concise processes to allow the client to complete the desired tasks. Basic CAD design and modification, constructing and validating block models, Geostastical analysis including: variography, geological domaining and ore body modeling for grade estimation for stratigraphic and disseminated deposits. Design analysis and optimization primarily for Underground operations. I was responsible for teaching various Vulcan 3D Courses Including: Introduction to Vulcan 3D, Block Modeling, Underground Design, Underground Drill and Blast, MineMax iGantt Scheduling, Geotechnical Modeling, Database Management, Triangulation Modeling, Plotting and Advanced Plotting. Regularly received reviews exceeding expectations for training courses provided. Received regular promotions and raises.

Summer Rio-Tinto, Kennecott Utah Copper, Bingham Canyon Mine; Utah

2007 Geotechnical Engineering Internship. Duties included data collection, validation and trouble-shooting, as part of the continuous monitoring of the tailings impoundment.
