OBJECTIVE
Attain a full-time position as a marine engineer or naval architect upon graduation in May, 2013
EDUCATION
B.S., Ocean and Aerospace Engineering Double Major
Minors: Naval Engineering and Mathematics
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, VA
Senior Ship Design Project; Oil Well and Intervention Ship
Using concept and requirements explorations outline to create an oil well intervention ship design which consists of new technologies research, baseline hullform modeling using Orca3D, design of experiments and multi-objective genetic optimization using Model Center to perform resistance, propulsion, and seakeeping calculations to find non-dominant designs. After a suitable optimized design was found, used three dimensional modeling tools such as Rhinoceros, Hecsalv, and Maestro to perform analysis.
