Superintendent/ Project Engineer/ Business Development Manager
Manage heavy civil and industrial projects. Plan and execute activities to achieve revenue growth and profitability. Annual revenue approx. $200M per year.
Key Contributions:
• Served as Superintendent on $4.2 million Boeing project to separate a telephone and data hub from a building slated for demolition. The project also included building a new emergency operations center. The scope included tenant improvement work and a new 750 KW diesel standby generator. Work in this operating facility required close schedule coordination with the owner and subcontractors.
• Performed as contractor’s Project Engineer for a $6 million contract to rebuild a paper machine. After 3 months of procurement, planning and preliminary construction, the project culminated in a 12-day, round-the-clock outage. The project included structural steel modifications, new machinery installation, process piping, air handling systems and control system replacement. Managed bidding, selection, schedule and change orders with major subcontractors, including ductwork installation and demolition. During the 12-day outage, managed subcontractors and direct-hired forces on the critical path activities.
• As Mechanical Engineer, designed and sealed the draw span mechanical erection procedure for the Hood Canal Bridge. Conducted interim and final reviews with WSDOT.
• General Construction Company’s Design Manager on design-build projects including NAVFAC NW Waterfront Design Build Multiple Award Construction Contract.
• Led Statement of Qualifications and Technical Proposal for heavy civil, marine and industrial projects. Secured invitations to bid from private owners.
