Civil Engineer (Geotechnical Branch, Soils Design and Materials) 2011-Present
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Los Angeles District, Los Angeles, CA
* Design and analysis of both future and existing flood control embankments
including earth dams, interior dikes, and levees.
* Perform analyses including seepage, slope stability, settlement, liquefaction,
seismic deformation, and filter compatibility.
* Author Design Documentation Reports and Specifications for proposed interior
dikes at Prado Dam, CA.
* Determine instrumentation needs and prepare instrumentation specifications
for embankments including piezometers, pressure plates, settlement bases, and
survey monuments.
* Assess existing conditions and develop mitigation measures for Whittier
Narrows Dam, CA as part of the Dam Safety Modification Study.
* Conduct geotechnical fragility curve analysis and co-author fragility curve
report for Little Colorado River at Winslow, AZ Levee Feasibility Study.
