Project Manager for ALL projects with surveying component within CDS. Responsibilities included preparing fee estimates, writing survey scope of services, collaborating directly with the engineering and architectural project managers on their projects, invoice review and collection, assisted marketing with surveying capabilities and write ups, review ODOT right-of-way plans, prepared condominium plats, legal descriptions, plan reviewer for City of Montgomery residential site-plan/plot-plan submittals for Phase 1 (demo), Phase 2 (proposed), and Phase 3 (as-built) plan process, developed 2013 CDS Survey Business Plan, assisted Cincinnati Land Surveying (CDS’s sister company) with field work, implemented standard estimating spreadsheets, standard proposal processes, and conducted marketing calls and meetings to obtain survey/engineering/architectural projects.

Oversee ALL survey-related activities from proposal preparation to work plan development to direct supervision of field and office work, to signing and sealing survey related documents. In 2009, was assigned position of Ohio Survey Director, responsible for preparation and management of project budgets in three (3) offices across Ohio which provided surveying services throughout the state and across the country. Managed staff which included three (3)
professional surveyors, and up to six (6) additional survey technicians. Responsible for staff’s bi-annual performance reviews and salary recommendations. Annually, prepared departmental business marketing plan, software and equipment budgets. Quarterly, reviewed and adjusted “work-in-progress” reports and financial status (earnings) of our survey projects. Directly involved with marketing and promoting surveying services. Said services ranged from boundary and topographic surveys, ODOT R/W Plan Preparation, legal descriptions and exhibits, deformation surveys, High Definition Laser Scanning, bathymetric surveys, GPS control surveys, survey related work associated with municipalities including waterlines, sanitary and storm sewers, road and bridge projects, railroads, and GIS inventory and assessment projects. Developed an interactive, on-line survey request form for “in-house” engineers and architects to submit survey requests and/or proposals. Worked to develop on-line communication and project tracking tools for use by staff.

Coordination of all survey related work, including project-proposals, scheduling of crews, research, record plats, and submittals of related survey documents to the governing agencies. Responsible for all budgets and invoicing. Coordinating survey related tasks, including record plats, easement preparation, legal descriptions, and plot plans, for both commercial and residential land development projects with staff engineers, designers, technicians as well as municipal reviewing agencies.
