PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Research Assistant
Florida Atlantic University Aug-2011- Present
• Developed and implemented a non-linear adaptive controller for an 8.3 foot unmanned amphibious vehicle (DUKW-Ling)
• Planned and conducted system identification field test to determine the maneuverability characteristics of DUKW-Ling.
• Analyzed field test data using MATLAB to determine and identify the physical parameters of the vehicle to develop a model for simulation.
• Designed software architecture that permits the amphibious vehicle to autonomously track waypoints and transit its operating zones in real-time.
• Aided in the design of electronics schematic that including the sensor suite needs and the interface with a single computer board
• Developed drivers that allow the interface between sensors and microcontroller
• Completed various simulation tests in SIMULINK to determine the effectiveness of the nonlinear controller before implementing them in the actual system
• Knowledge of diagnosis, debugging and troubleshooting in embedded systems.
RESEARCH PROJECT:
Florida Atlantic University Aug 2010 – May 2011
Design Project sponsored by the Office of Naval Research
• Researched, designed, built, and tested a small scale STOL seaplane for the purposes of Sea Basing.
