July 2010 to February 2011: Battalion Assistant Operations Officer: Led 7-person team planning, synchronizing, and executing all operations for 700-person Construction Engineer battalion with 3 tactical companies and 2 support companies; served as the Battalion Operations Officer for 3 months, ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of the operations section.
• Planned and executed training to maintain certifications and abilities on a wide range of construction, bridging, and Soldier related tasks for 3 line companies and 2 support companies.
• Managed daily operations of the Battalion operations section to include daily plans and orders, construction plans updates, training updates, and company briefings that ensured constant oversight in all areas.
• Rated as one of the top three staff officers within the Construction Engineer Battalion.
February 2009 to June 2010: Vertical Company Executive Officer: Chief operations officer and second in command of an engineer company consisting of 120 personnel and $9 million in equipment. Managed all administrative, maintenance, logistics, and training support functions of the company.
• Oversaw base support and construction contracts valued at over $4.7 million.
• Planned, coordinated, supplied, and managed over 25 construction projects involving 4 platoons and a survey and design section. Projects ranged from vertical wood frame buildings to horizontal air field construction; missions were valued at over $12 million.
• Supervised a 7 Soldier maintenance section charged with the maintenance and upkeep of over 55 combat vehicles and construction equipment pieces valued in excess of $100 million.
