PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY (VERSITYLINK) - STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
March 2014- November 2014
Worked on the design of the AP1000 Nuclear Power Plant. Ensured the compliance to AISC N690 specifications of the embedment plates used in the Auxiliary Building. Performed structural analysis of the plates using AutoCAD, MathCAD, Microsoft Excel and GT Strudl. Member of the Embedment Team that resolved any emergent issues that arose during construction.
CATERPILLAR (PHD SERVICES) - AUTODESK SUPPORT/DRAFTER
2013-March 2014
Worked in the Global Facility Management department of Caterpillar, maintaining and developing Auto CAD drawing for company owned buildings around the world. Ensured that employees and buildings are able to successfully utilize E911 Emergency Response Systems. Resolve any issues Caterpillar employees may have with Autodesk products.
BRADLEY UNIVERSITY- SENIOR DESIGN PROJECT
2012-2013
As a member of a four man team, our group designed an industrial building with guidance from the engineering firm Dewberry. Performed numerous tasks including foundation design, load patterns, design of minimum loads and construction estimating. AutoCAD, Robot, Revit and RSMeans were utilized to complete the required documents for this project.
BRADLEY UNIVERSITY- TEACHERS ASSISTANT/RESEARCH ASSISTANT
2011-2013
Assist professors with the grading of assignments, setting up of laboratories and other duties as requested by the professors. Courses included: Reinforced Concrete Design, Introduction to Environmental Engineering and AutoCAD. Assisted with research projects associated with the Illinois Department of Transportation and the US Environmental Protection Agency.
