Led seven capital projects, total funding of $16 million, which installed new variable speed drives on all 30 Richmond Kevlar„µ spinning machines. Installation included PLC-based supervisory control system. Reduced total installed cost per module by 37% and reduced engineering, design and overhead cost by 22%. Design package adopted as installation basis for all production facilities globally, including new manufacturing facility at the Cooper River site (Charleston, South Carolina).
