EXPERIENCE & ACHIEVMENTS
Director, BAE Systems, 2011-2012
Successfully completed all outsourcing projects for CMOS imagers, including high-performance state of the art sensors for low-light level scientific and military applications.
Vice President, Semiconductor Operations, Fairchild Imaging Inc., 2001-2011
Lead technology development and integration activities in all aspects of wafer-level manufacturing including multi-level wafer fabrication and wafer-level packaging for stacked image sensors for broad-band, UV, DUV, and multi-spectral applications. Successfully outsourced all CCD imager wafer fabrication for industrial, medical, dental, aerospace and defense, including production of world's first ultra-large (~10k x 10k pixel) monolithic CCD image sensors. Completed technology transfer for backside illuminated CCD sensors and developed both domestic and off-shore sources for new, state-of-the-art CMOS sensors to serve scientific/Bio-tech, military, and also dental markets.
Director, Fab Operations, Lockheed-Martin Image Sensors, 1998-2001
Directed all aspects of manufacturing, equipment maintenance and production control as well as personally managing engineering operations, including statistical process control, contamination control, process development and integration, while ramping up production by 9-10 fold.
Manager, Wafer Fab Operations, Loral - Fairchild Imaging Division, 1994-1998
Managed and ramped up 4" Wafer fabrication operations while personally leading all CCD imager technology development efforts and yield enhancement efforts, increasing mechanical yield enhancement and parametric yields as well as electro-optical yields. Responsible for inventions and innovations that allowed the company to be the first in the world to put 4k x 4k formal CCD image sensors (6cm x 6cm chips) into production.
Manager, Process Engineering, Fairchild-Weston, 1988-1994
Responsible for all aspects of process engineering and yield enhancement for both visible and infra-red CCD image sensors. Improved yields while introducing production, enabling volume manufacturing of sensors.
