Intern: Analysed Zinc Refinery processes and created simple but new process flow which has the potential to save the refinery over 3 million euros per year.
• Worked with engineers on- and off-site to create reasonable bids for the refinery while maintaining an efficient production flow
• Used PFD extensively to create optimized process flows
• Set up meetings between outside companies and the refineries engineers in order to better accommodate both side’s needs
• Checked/recalculated all calculations from technologies to be installed to assure correct process flow is maintained
• Communicated with coworkers, engineers and businessmen of all levels and different nationalities
• Convinced management team to perform further studies of the presented optimization and it’s savings of over 3 million euros per year.
• Worked 36 hours a week to meet college internship requirements
