As a Senior Engineer and Site Manager for the Diminishing Manufacturing and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Team at Robins Air Force base my primary duties under KIHOMAC, Inc. are to provide on-site management of the program as well as act as the technical focal point for the team. My duties range from mentoring the junior engineers and providing direct government support as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for obsolescence mitigation to providing metrics tracking and reporting for a team of 17 engineers, technicians and logisticians. Functional duties include planning and coordinating the logistical and engineering operations of the Robins AFB DMSMS team. As the site manager my regular activities include the evaluation and analysis of multiple weapon systems across multiple platforms, making recommendations for improvements in the sustainment posture by supplying comprehensive reports and trade-off analysis. My responsibilities also entail the monitoring of contract performance, tracking project milestones, planning and scheduling workload assignments, as well as, integrating various data from supply, the repair depot and engineering to make sound forecasts and lifecycle planning recommendations to the customers at Robins AFB. As the Site Manager I am also responsible for all aspects of local personnel management including training, counseling, time and attendance, employee evaluations, interviews and other general supervisory duties.

As the technical focal point for the Trident Technical Corp. team, I provided a broad range of engineering and logistics program support including requirements analysis, risk assessment, systems analysis, test plan development, production support, concept of operations development (CONOPS), as well as developing policy and procedures for the central diminishing manufacturing and material shortages office (CDMO) at Robins AFB. Daily activities included mentoring the junior engineering staff, overseeing the work of a multi-disciplined technical staff, and providing guidance on issues of varying complexity related to the sustainment of legacy weapon systems for the USAF. Additionally, I provided direct assistance to the government engineering staff and program managers at all levels with regard to equipment and material procurement, requirement screening, resolving obsolescence and reliability issues. I provided technical guidance to the government engineers and program management regarding implementation of low cost solutions, including technology insertion or limited redesign in support of reliability centered maintenance, in order to prolong the operational life of their systems. At the request of my customers, I oversaw first article testing as well as provided assistance in troubleshooting both test equipment and on-aircraft equipment. Through my team's efforts we delivered nearly $2.5 billion in cost avoidance over 5 years to Robins Air Force Base.

I provided engineering and technical support for the assembly, test, and repair of complex military electronic assemblies and major weapons systems including reverse engineering and obsolete component resolutions. Tasks include circuit analysis in digital, analog, and RF, as well as, design and manufacturing of circuit card assemblies, cable harnesses, interface test adapters, automated test equipment, high voltage power supplies, cable assemblies, and test measurement and diagnostic equipment. Additional duties included, Industrial/Quality Engineering which is responsible for providing detailed instructions for non-standard repairs not otherwise covered by IPC/EIA J-Standard, as well as, providing determination for scrapping of non-repairable assets. I was the primary engineer responsible for hardware development for the AN/APN-241 color weather radar support equipment and the AN/ALQ-161 altitude environmental stress simulator. Additionally, I provided DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing and Material Shortages) and logistics support for the AN/ALQ-135, AGM-84 Harpoon, and various other programs in the Northrop Grumman Warner Robins Technical Services sector.

As electronics engineer for the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) team I had variety of responsibilities including detail system analysis, piece parts research, and DMSMS Help Desk tickets for the 542nd CSW DMSMS Team at Robins AFB. These tasks brought me in contact with a wide variety of items on a multitude of systems ranging from electronic components to mechanical subassemblies and cable assemblies. Additional tasks include providing support to government engineers and program managers in redesign and system procurement activities as well as general research, consulting and reporting. Due in part to my efforts, the team was awarded the General Bernard P. Randolph Engineering Team Award for two consecutive years.

As an associate engineer I worked in a dual capacity as either a team lead or contributing engineer depending on the project. I was the lead engineer in the development of a test program set (TPS) and a contributing engineer on an obsolescence mitigation solution for the TRC-170 digital tropo-scatter radio system. The position required me to multitask and switch readily from RF engineering to digital design to programming depending on which project had priority at the time all while balancing cost, schedule and customer requirements. Additional job functions included project management with emphasis on cost and material scheduling, interfacing with the customer and reporting functions (PSR, PDR, CDR).
