Projects:
UAV-AIAA
Designed and built a fully automated UAV capable of surveillance and disaster management situations to take part in AUVSI 2011 & 2012.
Designed and implemented a search optimization algorithm to locate land based targets.
Used optimized Ardupilot Mega for autopilot and Open-CV for image processing.
Quad-rotor- Illinois Tech Robotics
Designed a robust control & guidance system using 9-DOF INS sensor with KALMAN filter for noise reduction.
Analyzed motor data to model the noise measurements.
Used Simulink to estimate PD & PID gains and tested in X-Plane simulator.
Darpa Robotics Challenge (DRC)
Worked extensively with ROS & Gazebo to simulate different worlds and operating conditions.
Used Rviz for data visualization and for manual control & guidance.
Used PR2 and ARM robots as test beds to investigate performance of inverse-kinematics codes.
Undergraduate Research
Designed experiments to calculate the characteristics of experimental airfoils (FanWing).
Used the results to optimize airfoil geometry with the help of Excel.
Texas Border Constellation (TBC)
Designed a constellation of 16 satellites for surveillance of the southern US border particularly Texas as part of a design competition.
Researched various ...
