OBJECTIVE: Upcoming graduate of ABET-accredited bachelor's-degree program seeking an entry-level aerospace engineering position. Academic studies have provided a foundation in aerodynamics and physics; structural dynamics; systems design and testing; flight mechanics and controls; and 2D and 3D CAD design tools. All of these skills I have acquired through experience and working full time to pay my way through college.
EDUCATION
Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering December 2014 (expected)
GPA: 2.24
Relevant Coursework: Computational Fluid Dynamics, Computer-Aided Engineering I, Aerodynamics, High Speed Aerodynamics, Vibrations Analysis, Thermodynamics, Space Vehicle Dynamics/Control, Statics & Mechanics of Materials, Aircraft Dynamics and Control
TECHNICAL SKILLS
•ANSYS-FLUENT 11, MATLAB, Simulink, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Graphical Analysis, and MS Office
ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE
Fundamentals of Aircraft Design Sizing Project March – May 2013
•Collaborated with three engineer students to design a commercial plane given certain parameters such as maximum capacity, weight, distance of flight and the Federal Aviation Regulations.
•Used SolidWorks to design final exterior and interior of aircraft and utilized MATLAB to code the complete sizing flight plan. The code took into account the flight condition change per altitude and weight change as fuel burned through the flight.
High Speed Aerodynamics Wave Reflection Project November – December 2012
•Experimentally designed a lab to evaluate disturbed reflection waves by attaching different angled cones machined in a workshop and placed at the end of a shock tube.
•Evaluated and analyzed the data produced by the pressure gauges that were placed along the tube
Numeric Transonic Project November – December 2012
•Utilized Computational Fluid Dynamics to compute the flow around RAE2822 and NACA 0012 airfoils.
•Implemented extensive MATLAB coding to process CFD results using the linearized transonic small perturbation potential equation to make reliable predictions of transonic flows.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) August 2005 – December 2007
•Cadet in Detachment 025 assigned to positions...
