Second Assistant Engineer
• In charge of a two man watch team responsible for the safe operation of a diesel propulsion plant onboard a High Speed Craft. In charge of all fuel operations onboard which includes bunkering, treatment, and testing. Assisted with the fabrication of machine shops and other projects, which required aluminum welding. In charge of all maintenance jobs carried out on the MTU and Isotta Fraschini diesel engines.

USNS Supply (October 2013 to November 2013)
Third Assistant Engineer
• Assisting with preparing for a ship material assessment and readiness testing certification by performing maintenance jobs on auxiliary boilers, flash type evaporators, fuel and lube oil purifiers, low pressure air compressors and ship service diesel generators. Assisted with the start up, testing, and maintenance on the ship’s propulsion gas turbine engines.

USNS Amelia Earhart (July 2012 to April 2013)

• In charge of a two-man watch team responsible for the safe operation of a diesel-electric propulsion plant. Responsible for conducting fuel transfers and maintaining the ship’s start air and low pressure air compressors. In charge of the ship’s and cargo refrigeration systems. Responsible for bunkering fuel and testing the JP-5 onboard. Assisted with a main engine 12,000-hour major overhaul. Rebuilt a main salt-water pump. Performed maintenance and repair jobs on purifiers, generators, oily water separators, and air compressors.

USNS Washington Chambers (January 2011 to April 2012)
Third Assistant Engineer
• In charge of a two-man watch team responsible for the safe operation of a diesel-electric propulsion plant. Responsible for the operation of the water distilling plant. Tested and maintained water quality throughout the vessel. In charge of the ship’s and cargo refrigeration systems, machinery and cargo space bilge systems, sewage treatment plant, and the oily water separator. Performed repair and maintenance jobs on the main engines, purifiers, and various pumps and coolers. Assisted with fabrication and welding jobs to the ship’s workshops.

• Assisted the crew of the USNS Comfort with a ship material assessment and readiness testing certification. Ran performance tests on various pieces of equipment for the grading inspectors. Assisted with the light off of the ship’s steam propulsion plant.
