Over 35 years of experience with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District retiring from the position of Chief New York-Pennsylvania Area Office. Responsible for administration of all construction projects for the Buffalo District for quality and safety and direction of over 10 construction management staff. Other positions held include Assistant Chief Technical Services Division, Chief Construction Branch, Field Resident Engineer and construction Project Manager/ Project Engineer on a variety of civil works and military projects. Participated in many emergency response missions including Hurricane Katrina and the Loma Prieta Earthquake. Recent experience includes conducting Property Condition assessments for financial institutions where assessment reports recommended economical repairs to real property which included costs during the evaluation term. Assisted in developing a construction policy for a major local bank.

• Performed Property Condition and Environmental Assessments for financial clients on commercial properties such as shopping plazas, office buildings, retail store buildings and apartment complexes.
• Provided oversight and approval of asbestos remediation designs for schools and commercial buildings.
1/1/12 to 10/17/12. Provided consultant services for private individuals on residential properties.

06/01/2003 to 12/31/2011 Area Engineer for New York and Pennsylvania, with 3 one year positions as Assistant Chief Technical Services Division, Chief Construction Branch, USACE Buffalo NY District
• Responsible for execution of district wide construction projects including schedules, budgets, safety and quality. Received a Commander's coin for devising a means and method to greatly help O & M project execution at the end of FY 03.
• Hurricane Katrina emergency operations theater: Received Commanding General's Coin for inspections for approximately 90,000 residential dwellings in the City of New Orleans for habitability after Hurricane. Directed approximately 100 inspectors for proper inspections in a safety conscious manner
01/19/1999 to 06/01/2003. Supervisory Civil Engineer Construction Branch, USACE Buffalo NY District
• Responsible for the overall operations of the Construction Management and Contracts Team and for providing technical direction over the management of Construction contracts administered by the District including staff ,and interpretation and enforcement of construction policies.
• Supervisory Inspection Team Leader on the Structural Safety Assessment Principle Response Team (SSAPRT) in direct support of the District's Readiness mission.
• Participated in Biddability, Constructability, Operability and Environmental (BCOE) reviews.
• Worked closely with the Safety Office in review and approval of contractor submitted Accident Prevention programs.
