PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Schlumberger, Houston, TX
Fluid Analysis Engineer (Jan 2013 – Present)
• Reservoir fluid validation and characterization using company specific software.
• Planned reservoir fluid studies and communicated ideas to a team of engineers and specialists.
• PVT studies on reservoir fluids to determine fluid properties such as the saturation pressure, formation volume factor, fluid composition, gas-oil ratio (GOR), oil shrinkage, and densities.
• Restored fluid samples to reservoir conditions at specified pressure and temperature, as well as performed gas-oil recombination of separator samples.
• Troubleshot and maintained equipment such as PVT cells, density meter, gasometer, viscosity meter, high pressure high temperature device (HPHT).
• Extensively trained on working with hazardous chemicals, and in a H2S environment.
• Interpreted and presented data to manager and peers via power point presentation.
Achievements
• Pressure Operations Certification by Schlumberger (August 2013).
• Reservoir fluid sampling and PVT analysis training by Schlumberger (March-June 2013).
• Data Quality Assurance training by Schlumberger (April-May 2014).
CpKelco, San Diego, CA
Research Engineer (March 12 – July 12)
• Technically analyzed projects using parameters such as fann readings, hydration time, and shear rates, to innovatively generate solutions that support company’s current business market on consumer goods and in the oilfield market.
• Designed, and performed experiments such as fluid viscosity loss tests, high surfactant yield tests, and gel strength test on consumer products using instruments such as viscometers, solution rate testers, and high shear mixers.
• Studied the characteristics of biopolymers, such as guar, diutan, xanthan, and carboxymethocellulose (CMC), and their application in completion fluids, fire fighting foams, tire sealants and detergents, thus benefiting the company’s business.
• Responsible for formulating personal care products, such as hand foams, body lotions, shower gels and incorporating these biopolymers to improve products.
• Performed quality control testing on company products using SOPs to ensure standards are been met.
• Periodically prepared technical reports in updating R&D manager on ongoing projects.
Bioresponsive Materials Laboratory School of Pharmacy, University of California San Diego, CA
Chemical Engineering Research Associate (Dec 09 – June 11)
