-Conducted an Emergency Isolation Valve Analysis (EIV) on several units in the refinery in preparation for the subsequent HAZOP for each unit
-Determined the total amount of hydrocarbon that was flared to the atmosphere from December 2009 until September 2012 per EPA request
-Submitted a technical report outlining High Temperature Hydrogen Attack (HTHA) on heat exchangers throughout the refinery
-Led studies in the Crude Units to possibly increase the Total Acid Number (TAN) of the refinery’s processed crude oil
-Completed a Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) on the Hydrogen Unit
-Initiated acid cleaning and efficiency calculations of several heat exchangers
-Initiated Work Process Order to install nine flow meters on nitrogen header to track nitrogen usage for extended periods
