English Manufacturing designs and manufactures sneeze guards for use in restaurants and cafeterias.
Responsibilities included:
* Worked directly with sales personnel and outside architects in the design and documentation of sneeze guards and applicable electrical accessories.
* Prepared quotation and detailed manufacturing documentation.
* Interfaced directly with in-house manufacturing personnel to trouble-shoot problematic designs and to manage the implementation of available manufacturing processes.

Schilling Robotics ñ Davis, California
Schilling Robotics designs, manufactures and services robotic manipulators and Remotely Operated Vehicles for deep sea applications.
Responsibilities included:
* Worked directly with engineering personnel and outside engineering contractors in the design and documentation of mechanical and electronic components and assemblies. Also helped develop company policies, procedures, and standards.
* Prepared detailed mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings for in-house manufacturing departments and outside vendors from engineering sketches, verbal instructions and other input. Types of components include machined parts, printed circuit boards and assemblies.
* Prepared active schematics for documentation and capture. Prepared PCB artwork for in-house assembly and fabrication and assembly contractors. Printed circuit board types include high-speed Ethernet and voltage handling but were generally stand alone mixed signal circuits, high-to-medium density, and mostly 4-layer but some 10+-layer PCB designs. Worked directly with contractors to solve problems. Developed and maintained libraries for electronic schematic symbols and PCB footprints.
* Performed general revisions to all types of engineering documents.
* Directly supported other engineering personnel in mechanical and electrical disciplines.
* Identified and implemented industry standards, where applicable.
