•Ran benchmark tests on prototype GPUs for NVIDIA engineering and marketing teams. Entrusted to keep confidentiality about performance and marketing data.
•Proposed financial decisions that affected the Santa Clara and Moscow performance labs.
•Resolved a variety of hardware and software issues ranging from BIOS settings to RAM configurations.
Project Experience
Senior Project, Tour Guide Robot Spring 2014
•Designed and built a tour guide robot, V.I.R.A. (Very Informative Robotic Ambassador), to navigate through and inform visitors of the Chambers Technology Center at the University of the Pacific.
oFeatures include iOS compatibility, face detection, Bluetooth communication, text-to-speech, voice recognition/commands, and an interactive iPad GUI.
•Served as the Project Manager of a multi-discipline team and effectively overcame unexpected difficulties/obstacles – while maintaining group morale.
Quantum Optics Research Group Spring 2012 to Fall 2012
•Co-produced a Coincidence Counter, which is utilized in university optics lab experiments.
oCollaborated with the Chair of the Physics Department (UoP) to ensure design specifications were compatible with new FPGA hardware, optical sensors, and LabView Software.
oAdministered cost-effective improvements to optimize the performance of the device.
Radio Astronomy: Hydrogen Distribution Spring 2011
•Improved the system by installing a larger dish to increase data accuracy by 10%.
•Wrote Perl and Java programs to record the intensity and distribution of hydrogen radiation.
