• Led thesis research project on “FRP Strengthened Steel Reinforced Concrete Masonry Wallettes in Out-of-Plane Bending” for ACI Committee 440. The result from this research is used to establish a design approach for FRP strengthened concrete masonry walls.
• Designed FRP double-shear pull test for concrete masonry to compare bond strength and effective length to that of regular concrete blocks.
• Measured FRP debonding strain using GeoPIV Optical Technique and analyzed FRP strain distribution using Matlab.
• Prepared and tested experimental material samples for quality control, including concrete cylinders, mortar cubes, reinforcing steel and FRP coupons in compliance to ASTM code.
• Assisted in testing and data collection of scour depth determination for bridge piles using acoustic techniques.
