The implementation of duties on a full scale were cut short by the elimination of this position.

*Full-time sleep tech position/Lead tech Weirton Medical Center Sleep Lab (2010-2013)
Nightly shift duties:
*Retrieve prescription, review for type of study, set up and calibrate montage
*Set up EEG as per 10/20 system, place 24 wires/sensors, perform bio-cals
*Fit for interface, educate patient as needed
*Perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or split-night PSG, O2 titration
*Titrate positive pressure devices as per protocols
*Stage/score entire study “on the fly”
*Conclude PSG, enter data and print study report, assemble chart, email report to reading physician,
clean up all wires/interfaces, make beds
*DME consignment PAP set-ups in lab using Respironics System One devices, various interfaces used

*Full-time sleep tech position, trained at UPMC Sleep Medicine Center for 3 months under the medical
direction of Dr Patrick Strollo, MD, AASM. Since the training completion, had been working in a 4 bed lab in Monroeville satellite to Sleep Medicine Center.
Nightly shift duties:
*Retrieve electronic prescription, review for type of study, set up and calibrate montage and positive pressure device
*Set up EEG as per 10/20 system, place 21 wires/sensors, perform bio-cals and belt cals
*Fit for interface, educate patient as needed
*Perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or split-night PSG, O2 titration
*Titrate positive pressure device as per protocols
*Stage/Score entire study “on the fly”
*Conclude PSG, enter data into electronic documentation system, enter charge, send electronic file of PSG to main server, clean up all wires and interfaces, make beds

*SomnoStar Pro by SensorMedics, Respironics Omni Lab positive pressure device, interfaces by Respironics, Fisher & Paykel, and ResMed, Cephalopro amp, Respitrace, PC Direct
Testing experience:
*PSG, CPAP and BIPAP Titration, Auto CPAP and Auto BIPAP titration, ASV titration, oral dental appliance PSG, MSLT. Trained to use AVAPS and to do MWT
