My Master thesis project involved investigating the seismic performance surrounding steel pile-to-substructure connections in marine LNG approach platforms with a direct-displacement based design approach. This entailed a comprehensive review of existing international codes and literature, detailed dynamic and plastic analyses, nonlinear pushover and time-history modelling.

Structural Site Engineer - Fletcher Construction Engineering (FCE). Auckland, New Zealand
• Managed construction of a four-lane overpass road bridge on $30M value project. Responsible for resource planning, requisitions, onsite co-ordination, H&S, QA monitoring and handover of nine QRP packages, subcontracts, RFI’s, weekly financial progress, precast yard inspections and partial design of temporary works to support twenty-four Super-T beams. Project completed two months early. Very strong field experience gained in a team focused environment.
• Assisted FCE subsidiary company, PipeWorks, on $1.8M stormwater & wastewater contract. Primary engineer responsible for managing Pipework’s personnel and subcontractors over 60+ work-sites. Developed excellent rapport with consultants, subcontractors and landowners.
• Assisted foundation and piling specialists, Brian Perry Civil. Organised daily programme, site surveying, material QA and AS-built documentation on a 440+ secant pile project. Also supported head office QS in technical bids for small-medium size projects
